when your listing is submitted to microsoft marketplace, it goes through microsoft's certification review if your content includes something that is not allowed, microsoft will flag it and reject the listing the good news a rejection is not a problem we can resubmit as many times as needed, and your csm will guide you through any required changes following the guidelines below will help you get approved on the first attempt words and content microsoft does not allow microsoft's certification team automatically flags certain words and content depending on where they appear in your listing in your listing description do not include any of the following "microsoft partner" (or similar partner status claims) "confidential" "test" "macc" in your plan names do not include "test" in your screenshots no microsoft icons no confidential good quality screenshots plan names should reflect real, purchasable plans placeholder or internal names will be rejected in your documents (attachments, pdfs, supporting materials) do not include "confidential" (including confidentiality watermarks, footers, or disclaimers) "test" microsoft icons or logos microsoft's brand assets are trademarked and cannot appear in your marketing documents without explicit permission, so remove any microsoft logos or product icons before uploading claims to avoid beyond specific words, microsoft does not allow unverifiable or exaggerated claims about your relationship with microsoft avoid phrases like "we are microsoft's number one partner" "preferred by microsoft" "microsoft's leading partner for " you can describe what your product does and how it integrates with microsoft technologies you just cannot imply an endorsement or ranking that microsoft has not formally granted what happens if your listing is rejected microsoft flags the issue and notifies us with the reason you can update the listing and resubmit there is no limit on resubmissions and no penalty for rejections it simply adds a few days to your publication timeline, which is why we recommend checking your content against this list before the first submission
