A private plan is a hidden pricing plan inside a Microsoft Marketplace offer that only the customers you nominate can see. You target them by Microsoft Entra tenant ID, and they discover and buy the plan through the marketplace like any other purchase - at the price and configuration you set for them.

Use it when you want to give one specific customer special pricing without changing your public listing.

### 🟣 Key characteristics

- Targeted by **tenant ID** (subscription ID for Azure Application and Managed Service offers).
- The customer discovers and purchases it themselves through Microsoft Marketplace or the Azure portal.
- Supports custom pricing and custom plan configuration.
- Counts toward the customer's MACC, where the offer is Azure benefit-eligible.
- Up to **45 private plans per offer**; up to 10 tenant IDs added manually, or a CSV import for more.
- Takes **up to 48 hours** to appear for the customer after you publish.
- **Not supported** for CSP subscriptions, or for multiparty / channel selling.
- Limited deal-making compared with a private offer - no custom contract terms, no bundling multiple plans.

### 🟣 When to use one

Choose a private plan for a straightforward negotiated price with a customer you're selling to directly.
