A direct private offer is a negotiated deal between you (the publisher) and an end customer, with pricing, terms and conditions set for that customer alone. Unlike a private plan, it's a separate object from your offer: you send it to the customer's billing account, they accept it, and then they purchase.

It's the right tool when the deal is more than just a discount.

### 🟣 Key characteristics

- Targeted to a customer's **billing account**, not tenant ID.
- Supports negotiated pricing, discounts, custom contract terms and expiration dates.
- Option to attach an MSA, agreement, or your own terms and conditions.
- Supports up to 10 years of subscription length.
- Supports flexible billing.
- Customers can leverage MACC (Microsoft Azure Consumption Commitment).
- Can include **multiple plans or products in one deal** - up to 10.
- The customer must **accept** the offer before purchasing, and acceptance and purchase can be done by two different people.
- Available to purchase within roughly **15 minutes** of being sent.
- Better aligned with enterprise procurement processes than a private plan.
- **Not supported** for CSP-managed customer subscriptions.

### 🟣 When to use one

Choose a direct private offer when the deal has terms attached, spans several plans, or needs a defined start and end date. For a simple hidden price on a single plan, a [Private Plan](https://docs.wetransact.io/private-plan) is quicker to set up and simpler for the customer.
